I am an avid Spotify user. As much as I still enjoy finding new music, I often find myself enjoying the comfort of music I know and love, and Spotify's algorithm mixes are my go-to. There's a lot of overlap on there (how many genres does Restorations qualify as? that's actually a good question), but I mostly enjoy them. It's also a great way for me to put on playlists for groups of people without being held completely responsible for every song on them.

In the deli in the summer, this comes in handy with the college-aged coworkers who mostly listen to Zac Bryan and lack a bit of an ability to judge just what kind of music we should have on in a place of business. So I'll throw on an indie mix or a pop rock mix or whatever. But this summer, every time I put on a mix, there was Vampire Weekend, who I don't really like but is perfectly inoffensive for a deli in a beach town, and there was "The Underdog." Everyone loves "The Underdog." I do too. So I never skipped it. I think I heard this song about 200 times in the three months of this summer.
