Grannies Gone Wild #97

Joe has watched "Grannies Gone Wild" 88 times so far this summer. Watch the episode HERE. You can also read every single Grannies Gone Wild entry in the archives HERE.

WPPR, Episode 10: Grannies Gone Wild

But, Puke, why did you have to pick music so... insane?!

I didn't pick it! "Grannies Gone Wild" did! I was down there matching lines of dialogue to song titles, and they were telling me how long it's been since they heard new music on this blog. Reba asked me to do it!

So wait a minute. You've actually thought this playlist out?

Yes, I have.

Well, Van, we may have to face the fact that our blog has changed.

Yeah, don't you think I know it's changed? Well, guess what? I liked it the way it was... mostly indie rock music.

I never just concentrated on indie music, Van! I mean, what does "indie" even mean?

Okay! All right! Listen to this playlist, both of you.

One song for every minute that "Grannies Gone Wild" lasts (rounding down).

WPPR, Episode 5: Pam's Revenge

With the addition of August's "Song of the Day" column, Puke on Your Birthday amassed 102 blog posts this month (once This Is My Blood catches up). It's a record that will never be broken. It's a record that was a pain in the ass to get to. Too much blogging. Too much.

Pam agrees, and so she is hosting this month's WPPR episode to tell us just how much she agrees. It acts as a passionate plea to stop blogging, to stop all this and just come home, please, please.

Enjoy.

WPPR, Episode 3: Baby!

no baby penises on the blog

New episode of everyone's favorite radio-program-not-podcast-fuck-you. As always, please leave your suggestions on how I can make this better/bearable. Especially note that I tried not reading from a script this time, which hopefully made my awful between-songs banter sound a bit more natural.

One previous suggestion was to post the tracklist, so I will do so this time around. This episode's theme should become apparent by reading this, even if you don't actually listen (wouldn't blame ya if ya didn't).

WPPR, Episode 1: Welcome

I don't know why I didn't join the radio station staff when I was a student in college. That would've been cool. Consider this a course correction.

Welcome to WPPR, Pirate Puke Radio.

I don't expect a single person to listen to this radio show that I've created. As promised throughout the Your Favorite Movie process, I sound terrible on tape, and also, as it turns out, equal parts pretentious and naive. Also, it's not legal to use any of this music without permission, so maybe it's for the best that no one listens to it.

But it's something I wanted to do, so I did it. Here it is. Listen if you want. I am just learning Audacity in preparation for this, so I still don't how to do fancy shit like crossfades or background tracks. That'll come in time. I'll try to do one of these every four weeks.

This is not a podcast.
