I have not seen Conclave yet, but Maeve said that it was supposed to be like a sexy fun Pope movie. I hope that they found the 2013 A$AP Ferg song "Hood Pope" to go along with it. Pretty sure my parents were going to go see it. I don't know why they keep going to Catholic lore movies. Spotlight and The Davinci Code were really hard for them. Neither can really keep a critical eye on the church, which is a buried conversation of ours.
Pope is such a silly job. Comes with a lot of perks like a cool hat, car, and real estate. The Pope who I think really figured it out was Pope Benedict. Resigning and then getting a decade living in a mansion with all the benefits but none of the responsibilities. Men really can fail up anywhere. He cited his age, but I am sure the reckoning of the systematic child abuse had something to do with it. A way to find a new face of the Church so the Catholics can mend their image.
Unsure what has taken over me, back-to-back religious posts on the blog. Must be the time of year?

You've been on a real heater, song-selection wise.
My usual rule is "If my parents / my in-laws / both recommend a movie before I've heard of it, I will not watch it." And all four of those people saw the movie before I even knew it existed... but it's also getting Oscar heat, so I will most likely have to break my rule.
I heard it's like Gossip Girl for the Vatican...yes plz.
