I don't recall how I stumbled on this song, but I'm guessing it was a Spotify mix. I know it's a prompt down the road, but this song could almost be written for me, it checks so many boxes. Scottish accent? Check. Vocal harmony? Check. Wall of sound guitars? Check.
The biggest box it checks though, along with the rest of the album, is the sheer BIGNESS that I feel in it. Even as I've gotten in to punk music and appreciate lo-fi and basics, I've maintained this love of grandiosity. When done right, those big songs by early Coldplay, or the Killers, or Airborne Toxic Event, still have this ability to rise above the noise for me. This is a beautiful song and a beautiful album that, to me, sounds like if Frightened Rabbit had ever wanted to become an arena rock band.

Man, describing music can be so hard sometimes, but you fucking nailed it here, man. I'm going to be thinking about this blog post from now on when I hear big music: "BIGNESS," in all caps, a perfect description.
I also found out recently that there is literally a music genre called Big Music, and I have to imagine that you are a fan of most of the albums that RYM puts in their top ten for that genre.
