First, there is no better pick of an album to represent Sunny, Pat, AND Drew. When I saw that this was your team pick, it made perfect sense. It was like an "aha!" moment. Huey Lewis & the News works so well for all three of you. I kind of see Sunny legitimately(?) enjoying this album in the same way he enjoys Reba the Queen. I envision discussing Huey Lewis & the News in a group sitting around a table with Sunny. I see our resident meme historian, Pat, enjoying this album in that same way, but also perhaps in an ironic way. And Drew fills in, of course, the American Psycho gaps, being the movie buff and all around Christian Bale fan that he is. I really hope someone can recreate the album cover with the faces on Sunny, Pat, and Drew.
Ok, so over the course of 38 minutes, Fore! feels like comfort food. It's all fun, nothing too serious. That classic '80s sound that until now I didn't realize WAS Huey Lewis & the News comes through hard. "Hip to Be Square" is the song and the reassurance that we all need in our close-to-some-closer-than-others-some-may-be-already-their-40s. Who wants to be cool!? Pshhh. No, no no. I want to eat salads and go on walks and drink tea in the evenings and only drink beer or wine that I truly enjoy the taste of (sorry Miller Lite!) and read my book before bed and get at least eight hours of sleep.
