I have COVID, so forgive my shortness about this album.
I will say, it does seem fitting to get COVID on the week we review Waxahatchee. I've never turned off an album so many times in a week. I'm always intrigued about wanting to be better, being more open about my music choices, and broadening my horizons. This just wasn't that album for me.
I feel like she's doing stuff I heard 20/30 years ago, and they did it better. Sure, there are only so many different kinds of music. At some point it's all going to sound the same. This album was on the border of poo poo for me.
Don't take my advice though. I know nothing about what is good and what isn't. I do know that COVID+ Waxahatchee is what awaits me in hell.
