Shoutout to anyone hopping in the comments to share your advice. It's happened a few times now. I welcome it. I appreciate you being here and being supportive.
I felt pretty good today. Weird aches and pains but it didn't stop me from hitting the gym first thing in the morning. I'm attempting to lower all my weights by ten pounds but upping the reps for lifting each. This is testing my theory that the weights were all too heavy and that's why I'm hurting. It's probably not the reason but rather a reason. It was a good workout. I was feeling it. I don't need to push it. Weight loss happens in the kitchen, the gym is just extra.
Had all the usual food today. Work is stressful right now for reasons I don't have the stomach to get into, and I feel like I would've normally compensated with some shitty foods. So at least I have that going for me. One kernel of optimism within a terrible work environment. What the hell am I going to do with this fucking job, man... no, never mind, this isn't the blog column for that. It'll get better. As with all other things: patience.
I'd love to hit the gym again tomorrow to see if I feel better or worse, and act accordingly. If I feel worse, then I'll stick to every other day. If I feel better, than I'm going to go as often as possible, while still taking it easy on the weights each time I'm there.
