Held Accountable — Day 7

Here's something that I should probably try to avoid in the future: a large gap in between lunch and dinner, and then dinner being something like hot dogs. This is purely a comment on the value of the food itself, and not its taste (fucking bangin') or the hospitality (hot dogs grilled by the host at a family party, very much appreciated). It's a different experience dropping two hot dogs into an empty stomach than it would be, like, salad and chicken breast. It makes me jittery, like I need something else in addition to that.

And it's not a calorie thing! Counting calories means you count them however you want. I left room for hot dogs and buns and a little bit of dip. I was undoubtedly below 1760 today. I just don't like getting home at 7 PM and feeling unsatisfied, food-wise. I'd rather feel like I ate something good and worthy. Instead, I'm pacing around the kitchen with thoughts like "well, just one slice of cold pizza" and then (figuratively) splashing cold water in my face when I know I'm going to have to account for it later.

But it's all good. Sometimes I will eat well and stay below the calorie limit. Sometimes I will eat poorly and stay below the calorie limit. It all works out the same in the end. I can even go a little over every once in a while. It's all good, man. We're fine.
