Blue Garden, Nate

Blue Garden eschews any straightforward genre classification beyond the broadest possible concept of "alternative rock in 2025." Were a fictional stranger to approach you and say "you know what I like is alternative rock, and I find myself at a loss for where to go next to scratch that particular itch, recommend a band and album to me, and if I like it, I will reward you $150,000,000," your best good shot at generational wealth knowing no other details would be Blue Garden by Delta Sleep. This album is committed to few hard-and-fast declarations of style or intention; capable in all things, but perhaps political in its unwillingness to be hemmed in. Like Minus the Bear, Portugal. the Man, and Foals before them, they can do it all, and will, if you give them a few minutes. Centrist glass beach. Artistically, it provides a vessel in which to pour oneself if. Practically, it's a great one to throw on for your satellite radio brother-in-law to bop to. It's fine (complementary).
