The Stone Roses, Zach

There's a person sitting in front of me wearing a green shirt. She has earbuds in her ears. There are cats all over her computer. Stickers, photos of cats, cats with sunglasses, cats surrounded by hearts. I wonder if she likes cats at all? Nearby, an angular soldier walks in the room, but it isn't scary, because here, there are soldiers everywhere. It was more scary when I saw soldiers standing outside the Woodley Park-Zoo Metro in DC just last month.

I expected this album to be much less approachable. Much less sweet. But it's got emotion. It's not an album just for stoners.

I write a poem. It's about productivity, or lack thereof. There is an ice coffee being drunk in front of me, now. People are everywhere. I should start a Substack—oh wait, I already did.

I could have watched the Stone Roses in 2004 at a university concert.
