I loved this! Golem felt like it was a mix between the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, King Gizzard, and Ty Segall. I love the range of moods on this album; some parts are intense, some are fuzzy, and others are just so dreamy. "Melted Rope" was the standout track for me, which definitely landed on the more dreamlike side of the album.
It would be great to get high and hyper-focused on organizing something while listening to this album. Which might sound boring, but is like a dream day for me. This summer, one of my goals is to go through all my rarely used art supplies (stuff from metal smithing, lampworking, oil painting, knitting, etc., etc.) and decide what to keep, and it's the perfect vibe for that. It's the kind of record that pairs perfectly with slow, tactile work, like sorting through forgotten hobbies and touching pretty things.
