I like making people feel happy. That makes me feel happy. I don't like making people feel sad. That makes me feel sad. These very basic concepts seem to be what drives 99% of my actions. I think that's a good thing, i.e. I think most of the time we just call that empathy, doing for others as you would like them do to you, etc. I guess there are some days when that's easier than others.
The new patio furniture makes people happy so I spent literally the entire day—again—putting shit together on the patio. Which is cool, because people are happy, and so I'm happy. That's just how it works. Can't help it.
