It's not that I don't feel safe. I'm a big-ass cishet white male, there aren't many situations that I feel unsafe. But the times I feel most uncomfortable, I guess you could say, is when I'm afraid that someone is going to steal my car. I hate my car, like no personal feelings for it whatsoever in any sense, I'm just imagining what a pain in the ass it would be to have my car stolen. An unimaginable pain, to be honest. Now that I'm writing this blog post, I know it's going to happen. Especially because I'm the type of dude who is going to search for free parking, even if free parking is under a derelict bridge. I used to park here in this exact spot during my brief 2025 sojourn as a late-night-overtime workingman, and nothing ever happened. Why would it happen tonight? I still thought about it a little bit, still worried a little bit, even so. Hoped for the best, as they say.
I got a ticket for parking in the wrong direction on a two-way street, jesus fucking christ.
