The story I always heard is as follows: the bridge of this song features real sex noises recording in studio. Drummer Steven Adler's girlfriend was pissed at him for one reason or another, and Axl Rose talked her into having sex in the recording studio with some live mics. And that's what you hear on the recording.
After some research, this story remains largely true, but as always (especially for a band with a reputation like GnR's) there is some controversy regarding some of the details. Feel free to check out the Wikipedia.
The woman in question, though she says she had shame and guilt over this, does not seem to indicate that she felt forced into doing this, nor does she indicate that she was unknowingly recorded. To be sure, your feelings of the power dynamics involved can certainly vary from person to person, but as far as I can tell, there is not really anything too nefarious at play beyond Axl Rose (surprise surprise) being kind of a dick to a bandmate.
Also, this is the second-best song on Appetite behind "Paradise City" and slightly edging out "Mr. Brownstone."
And if you told me that by September 1st I would have used an equal number of Pearl Jam songs and Guns n' Roses songs, I would have called you a liar, but here we are.

This is really the only answer for this prompt.
I wouldn't bring this up if I didn't have the same problem with the Sabrina Carpenter cut from another write-up today. But how do these grown-ass adults not know how an apostrophe works? It either indicates possession or the omission of a letter. Clearly these two artists are trying to omit letters in the world "and." If that's the case, then it should be Guns 'n' Roses, and Short 'n' Sweet. It makes me pretty upset, I'm not going to lie.
I think it IS Guns ‘n’ Roses but also Axl was a high school dropout and I feel like you’re asking a lot from these man-children.
They very explicitly do not include that first apostrophe on any product that I've ever seen. And another thing—at least Carpenter has the decency to use a lowercase n in her album title. Conjunctions less than five letters long need to be lowercase! Goddamn it!!!!!!!!
