Sometimes something can be so silly that it rounds the corner and moves from being a goof into something approaching profundity. Many great works of art have walked the idiot savant's line of stupid/genius. The best versions of this idea make the clowns look like the only clear-eyed people in the human condition. Mojo Nixon is decidedly a clown, but he wears the Rorschach mask that might allow someone to tumble from the high perch of appreciation of "Wash Dishes No More" or, of course, "Elvis is Everywhere," as a sill goof, into desperate, dark enlightenment. The value is that Nixon provides a highway for the journey. What it is depends on how many electrodes have been fired into your brain cells / if you engage in home ownership or not.
