This past week was a busy one for the K***s. I coped by posting a bunch of ancient bullshit from high school. Pam coped by drinking wine. I joined her in her coping mechanism today.
As it always is when the alcohol of the day ends up being wine, we talk about why wine is inferior to beer. Not only is it easy to come up with a myriad of reasons, but also these blog posts tend to be short, and so I get a nice little break from blogging for the day. (Previous wine days are here, here, here, and here.)
Reason #5
I hate that wine, more so than beer, seems like a rich man's game.
I looked up who the fuck Kim Crawford was after I had a glass of this sauv blanc, assuming it was some actress or whatever. Nope. Kim is a man, first off. Second, he's just some fucking dude who got rich off making wine. I read this article which chronicles how Kim and his wife sold their namesake wine to a large corporation for millions of dollars, and now they can't use the name "Kim Crawford" to advertise any other wines that they make. Oh man, what a shame, some millionaire sold out and now is having trouble because other millionaire's own his name, what a shame, what a shame. You'll find a little bit of fuckery like this in the beer world, but wine has a stronger and more negative reputation when it comes to this kinda thing.
Not that any of this truly matters. I drank a glass and it was pretty good. I'm just saying.
