The Innocents, Nate

The most damning indictment of Erasure I can offer is that Zach Braff correctly mined the most interesting, most compelling song off this record and used it as an emotional hinge point in an early episode of Scrubs. That the creative powers at Scrubs used this song as subtly as one uses shit in a punchbowl to make the point "this party sucks" should not be held against the lads from England, who only wanted to make compelling synth-pop and succeeded exactly once. Congrats, to them, on the song "A Little Respect" and very little else. To not offend is not the same as victory.
