This Is My Blood: Mackeson XXX Milk Stout

Milk stouts are soothing, especially when you're drinking one while listening to some idiot say something like this:

"In Europe, they live, they have forest cities. They’re called forest cities. They maintain their forest, they manage their forest. I was with the head of a major country, it’s a forest city. He said, ‘Sir, we have trees that are far more—they ignite much easier than California.’ There shouldn’t be that problem. I spoke with the governor about it—I’m getting along very well with the governor—but I said at some point, you can’t every year have hundreds of thousands of land just burned to the ground. That’s burning down because of a lack of management."

Oh gosh, this was a good beer, really thick and roasty but also kind of sweet. Ice cold, it paired well with a few cookies. It paired terribly with one old man lying so much that he'll have to be admitted to the hospital in a few days. For real, imagine someone blathering on about "forest cities" like a lunatic and have it not make a single "Top Ten Worst Moments of the Debate" list. That's how bad this was.

Still, a very good beer. It's nice to drink a milk stout as the world burns around you.
