Yearlong Song Challenge, Day 176: Bridget

Prompt: "A song that, to you, represents the true meaning of the holidays"

Selected by Bridget

"Mary, Did You Know?"
Pentatonix
That's Christmas to Me, 2014

OMG this is such a cheesy-ass choice. But I genuinely just love the cover of this song. At the end of the day, I guess Christmas is about little baby Jesus being born. I always loved this song being played at church at midnight mass. It's just like, wow girly, did you know you were birthing this really important guy!!! Good on you, Mary! Also, some of these lyrics are absolutely bonkers, which is another reason that it's so fun. I'm talking "when you kissed your little baby, you've kissed the face of God." Another shoutout to this version where it's just a cappella and is the perfect rendition of a classic church hymn.
