This song isn't about sex. It's about resiliency and being able to withstand the challenges that life throws at you. Be it personally, physically, or within a relationship, you can interpret it in any way and apply it to situations that everyone has encountered in life. It's catchy. It's sweet. And it's Maren Morris (an added bonus because I think she's a great artist).
If you choose to keep your mind in the gutter, such as this prompt, this lovely song could definitely turn dirty and sound like it's about sex. I mean, it's called "The Bones." Aside from just the title, the chorus repeatedly states that "when the bones are good, the rest don't matter." There's also talk about the paint peeling and the glass shattering. Interpreted this way with sex on your mind, it teaches an entirely different lesson. Who gives a fuck about a solid foundation and resiliency when the bones are good?!
