I will forever be a fan of Death Cab for Cutie. They can do no wrong, and this is quite possibly my favorite album of all time. I could (and have... and will) listen to this album on repeat in any type of mood—it’s always just what I need. "I need you so much closer" lived on my MySpace and Facebook pages for countless years in the bio section (what do you actually even write there? A real bio?! Who does that?).
Despite being a huge Death Cab stan, I've only ever gone to one of their concerts after the release of their album Narrow Stairs. This doesn’t diminish my fandom for Death Cab, but speaks more to the fact that concerts are not really my thing. Do I dance awkwardly? Do I stand still? Do I sit and stare at someone's ass who's standing in front of me? Unless I'm able to drink enough to get at least a good buzz, I can't really let loose and I usually can't see anything (5'1" isn't the best height for a show). The concert was courtesy of Pam as a birthday gift, and despite my concert anxiety, it was a great time. I know they just came on tour in Philly last fall and I regret not getting my shit together enough to buy tickets in time. Hopefully they'll swing by Philadelphia again in the future, and I'll try again.

I need you so much closer… followed by the slow and steady speed& sound increase and for over a minute gives me fucking goose bumps every damn time. This song single handedly puts this album over plans for me
