Prompt: "A song that has a key change"
Selected by Pam
"Maybe This Time"
Liza Minnelli
Cabaret Sountrack, 1972
I kept coming up with songs for this one only to listen to them and think... "is that a key change?" So eventually, I pulled out my Broadway sheet music books to find a song that I could physically see the key change on paper for this prompt. Liza belts it out as Sally Bowles in "Maybe This Time." By the end of this song, she's feelin' herself. That's right, Sally! I always enjoy a reminder of how good Cabaret is.
