This song brings back many happy memories sitting on the back deck of my Grammie's house growing up. It might not be a bay we were sitting on, but it was a causeway that led into the Long Island Sound, so basically the same thing. I can still feel the summer breeze and the sound of birds and insects on her back deck. That's where we would all have big family dinners that consisted of barbeque chicken and her homemade sauce with pasta and big loaves of Italian bread. It was just simple living and laughing with cousins and aunts and uncles and my parents and Maeve. This song gives me that similar feeling of soft music being played as we all talked over one another and created memories that I'm finally learning to appreciate.
This is obviously a cover of the initial song I picked, but the sentiment remains. This is just a more upbeat version of the song, and is more fun than it has any right to be!
