I still find it odd that this song is about platonic love. This is a straight-up love song with what may be my favorite chorus melody of any song. Vocalist Bert claims that this song is about his best friend and guitarist, Quinn. There was a story out of Revolver years ago where Bert went on the record stating that it was about a girl he met while recording the album with whom he allegedly disappeared mid-recording. That article, however, was written while Bert and Quinn were on bad terms. They've both stated multiple times before and after that article that this song is about their friendship. Quinn left the band years ago.
