I'm just going to say it: we're all better for having lived in the same timeline as Neil Leslie Diamond. And this album? A blessing.
It's got everything you could want in a Christmas album. For starters, the name The Christmas Album—simple, straightforward, perfect UX. No notes. Then the offerings. We've got the classical holiday hymnals, tearjerkers, bops, and loads of goofy cheer. What's not to love about Christmas classics jazzed up with the charisma of a man made for Las Vegas? Save it divas, all I want for Christmas is more Neil Diamond.
And the real stocking stuffer is the ORIGINAL number "You Make It Feel like Christmas." Original Christmas music might possibly be the hardest genre out there. And Neil DID IT. All while being a member of the Tribe. The Chosen People, if you will. Now that's a mitzvah.
