Guys... I literally only had one choice here. What a bummer. I've already discussed my name here and the rise of its popularity in detail (Day 94). This song is totally fine. The melody is simple. The lyrics are nice. If I had my druthers, I'd have picked "Mae" by the Gaslight Anthem, a song that I absolutely love. If you add the missing "ve" to the name of the girl in the song, it changes nothing—it's still a one syllable name. 

Speaking of my name, I was at the library today. I went to the Fishtown library, not my normal Girard Ave library. I normally read in the park during lunch (or go home and walk my dog), but today it was absolutely too hot to be outside, and I was trying to think of a place where I could go where I wouldn't need to spend money. What a shame, because I'd already returned a book to my library today! I could have saved a trip. But anyway, the point of this anecdote being that I caught my name in the title of the book and almost grabbed it for that reason alone. The book was "Maeve Fly" by CJ Leede. I hemmed and hawed, almost adding it to the pile of books in my hands, pulling up GoodReads to check reviews. Unfortunately, everything kept saying, "grotesque and extreme horror." Which is definitely not my thing).  

(Also, I'd like to brag that it's the first week of August and I've completed my GoodReads challenge of reading 40 books this year. I'm actually on number 42 right now. I know books aren't a numbers game, and I'm not trying to rush through anything—I want to absorb and understand everything I'm reading, which have run the full gamut, everything but extreme horror. Maybe I'll double my initial goal by the end of the year? It doesn't matter, I'm just happy to have read mostly good, and some absolute pieces of garbage. Reading rules.)
