I hope nicknames count! It's funny, when my parents picked out my older sister's name, they specifically wanted a name that couldn't be shortened. Maeve is concise, one syllable, easy and quick to yell. They went in a different direction for yours truly. A nice built in nickname for me. It's funny though, because when I introduce myself, I always say Bridget, and get annoyed when people I don't know call me Bridge. But I guess that's what happens when it’s so easy to shorten your name. This song means nothing, but in reading, it seems like Joe hates Simon & Garfunkel, so a win is a win.
