Album of the Week: Keep It Clean

Welcome back, everyone. It's Week 6 of the PoYB Record Club, and we're here with a new album for your listening pleasure(?). Nate A**** of Fatter, Older is picking the album this week, which is cool! If you've written twice, you are eligible! Let me know! Otherwise, if you wanna check out previous weeks' albums and reviews, feel free to click HERE.

WEEK 6 — March 10-16, 2019

What we're listening to this week (Nate's pick):

ALBUM: Keep It Clean

ARTIST: Innanet James

RELEASED: September 14, 2018

WHAT GENRE IS THIS: Rap(!), Hip Hop(!)

WHY NATE PICKED THIS: "A couple of year back, Innanet James released a song, "Summer," which contained multitudes (So classy! So funky! So horny!) and was ignored by all, save for some dudes in Maryland and lumps like yours truly who still read rap blogs. Can his latest full-length effort reach the same Billy Dee Williams heights? Additionally: how fun is the name 'Innanet James'? Let it roll off the tongue, come back for another taste."

TRACKS:

1. The Cool
2. Memories (ft. Taliwhoah)

3. Where We Go
4. Way Up (ft. Rexx Life Raj)

5. Amazing
6. Better Without You (ft. Pusha T)

7. Bag
8. Kept Clean

READING SOME SHIT: Here's a short profile on Innanet James for DJBooth.net, which might serve as a good primer on this artist, or maybe for your rap expectations in general.

Happy listening, fam! Have a great week!
