Wuthering Heights, Sara

So, ok. The rule is: "No soundtracks. (Unless the album is completely composed by and performed by a single artist, and clearly also functions as a standalone piece of art.)" And I believe the parens can be deleted.

While I enjoy the idea of this soundtrack in theory, listening to it with no context of the movie made it unenjoyable as a whole. I believe track for track, there are songs that stood on their own to me, like "My Reminder" and "Dying for You." Yet, as a whole, a 35-minute album felt like it took 90 minutes to get through. This is coming from a woman who commutes 90 minutes a day on the Schuylkill Expressway. What listening to this soundtrack does is make me want to watch the movie and see it all together as a whole. I believe that soundtracks are just missing too much without the movie to truly enjoy it as a stand alone piece of art.

2.5 out of Big Brens (maybe I'll see the movie and revisit!)
