I know it was only three months ago, but it felt good to follow up on the blog post about The Blob. We were at Blobfest! Holy shit! I mean, it's no better or worse an excuse to have a block party in Small Town U.S.A. than anything else. The movie really was taped here, at this theater! Now, when we got home, the kids insisted on watching the movie, so I saw the famous riot scene again, and it looks like the Colonial probably got some work done in the intervening 70 years. But you get the gist of it while standing on the main street in Phoenixville. I know I type a lot of bullshit on this blog, and a lot of it is puffed-up claims of nonsense, but this one was true: I watched The Blob, and then a few months later, I went to Blobfest.
