At this point in their existence, Fall Out Boy did not get the credit they deserved as songmakers and performers. That this sparked a rise and peak is not a surprise. What is a surprise is how sophomoric this all seems now in the cold light of the second decade of the 2000s. This ain't a scene, and so forth.
