Wanderer, Sam

Everything is boring. Some things are less boring (i.e., "You Get," "Woman," and "Black"). Some things are pretty. Most things are pretty boring.

And isn't that just fine? Cat Power exists to chill out, reflect, and tap into a certain mood. That's not a mood I want to actively pursue, but what we have here is light, melodic, and inoffensive.

This album could just have easily provided a soundtrack to an episode of Grey's Anatomy in 2006 (when Cat Power released its last album) as it could today.

I'll never put on a Cat Power record, but I'll never take it off either. It's fine. Let's move on.
