Welcome to the official reboot of the Puke on Your Birthday Record Club! Every Sunday, I'll post the Album of the Week, an LP chosen for our family to listen to that week (Pam and I will alternate choices every week to start). And then, every Friday, anyone interested can post a separate review for that album, here on the blog.
And just to be clear, the PoYB Record Club "family" includes you too, dear readers! For thezero thousands of you reading along at home, feel free to listen along as well. And if you want to get in on the reviewing action, by all means, contact me, and we'll get your thoughts up on this very blog on Friday, right alongside at least my review, and hopefully Pam's review (depending on how many shifts she picks up that week)! Maybe if you are following along you can even pick the album for an upcoming week!
One more note: If the PoYB Record Club is the ONLY section of Puke on Your Birthday you are interested in reading, then feel free to click on the "Record Club" tag near the top of the page (or click HERE). That will filter out everything else. And you can share that tag link with anyone who you think would be interested in following along!
So without further ado, the Puke on Your Birthday Record Club begins now.

WEEK 1 — February 3-9, 2019
What we're listening to this week (Pam's pick):
ALBUM: Heard It in a Past Life
ARTIST: Maggie Rogers
RELEASED: January 18, 2019
WHAT GENRE IS THIS: Wikipedia couldn't say, so let's define this as folky pop with shades of electronica.
TRACKLIST:
HOW TO LISTEN: Available on all subscription-based platforms (Spotify, Apple Music), as well as streaming on free platforms (YouTube, Soundcloud, no Bandcamp though). You can also download a zip file by searching on Kingdom-Leaks.com (it's a legit website, but you should probably turn ad block on anyway). If you are desperate, I can burn you a copy on CD. Or maybe even share it on, like, Dropbox or something? I have never tried that, but let me know if you need me to.
