There's probably the perfect song out there, one that would raise an eyebrow upon listening because it's too eerily close to the odd way my life is structured. Maybe that kook Heidecker will do it (considered that song "Dark Days"), or plenty of my classic '90s bands have songs about main characters being bored or filled with ennui or whatever (uh, "Pinch Me," "Bored to Death" two decades later, of course "Longview" which is a level of bored I couldn't reach).

I really thought this Blind Melon song had been submitted already, but I don't see it on the list. Maybe somewhere else on PoYB. Like other sad sacks, I relate with Shannon—the puddles, the books, the sleeping all day, DEFINITELY the in-sane viewpoints—but then these musicians really take it to the next level and kill themselves with drugs, which I'm not quite at yet, luckily.
