Here's an interesting little album. Right at the jump is that heavy, bluesy sound with moody lyrics to accompany. Got a certain weight, that, yeah, pussy cats. Then track 2, is more rock-y pop-y swing-y? And then it gets real sappy and sad with "Don't Forget Me." This is some sad boys getting together for their sad boy album.
Oh, but "All My Life" is sort of this island-rocky sound. That's different. This is the "Coconut" guy, after all. Then back again to semi-sappy, but with some foreign yelling in the back. This is around where I realize I'm in the tank for Nilsson and his famous bud. I have no idea where this album is going, but I'm in for it.
The back half has as much up and downs as the first, tonally. One second, we're back on the island, then we're loop de loopin all Saturday, then we're sailing towards our ends. I'm curious how the cover will be. We're just (pussy) cats having a grand ol time.
