Yearlong Song Challenge, Day 102: Bridget

Prompt: "A song that feels specifically written about you"

Selected by Bridget

Tanya, Rosie, and Donna (performed by Christine Baranski, Julie Walters, and Meryl Streep, respectively)
Mamma Mia! The Movie Soundtrack, 2008

I'm highly considering changing careers and becoming a professional wedding date. I think I am relatively friendly enough, I genuinely enjoy meeting new people and learning more about them, and love celebrating love. I know I can dance, jive, and absolutely have the time of my life. I guess I should look into how much one charges to do that? If I know anything from watching The Wedding Date, one of my favorite rom-coms, you can make a pretty penny! How fun would it be if I was hired to make either the bride or groom jealous on their big day! Or make a family think my date has everything all together in their love life. Gosh, I could write my own movie about this! If anyone knows anyone that needs a wedding date, I AM YOUR GIRL!!

Let this act as proof that the "no repeats" rule is not very strict.

One sentence in: "God, this is an incredible rom-com idea."

Three sentences in: "Oh, right."

Now: "Isn't this also basically the idea of that Dane Cook movie where he plays a guy who you date before you find the person you're going to go on to love? Maybe Jessica Alba was in the mix?
