The rubbernecking instinct here is to try and understand why the young people of the nation flocked to K-Pop as a generation's de-facto cardboard-sign-making, homemade-T-shirt-wearing, dragging-dad-to-the-concert music sensation, but you spend five minutes with BE and the answer becomes obvious. If you want to dissect BTS, you can (shiny pop music with an obvious hip-hop influence and embrace of the Big Shiny athletics paved by mid 2010s EDM pop), but I tend to take a Frank Sobotka perspective: We used to make this in America and we don't anymore. This isn't an album, it's economics. This isn't music, it's thermodynamics. The kids are alright.
