All right. All right. All right.
But seriously. I'm 35, and I still don't know if alright is grammatically correct.
I've listened to this album so much this week, so it's pretty ironic I couldn't even get a review in on time. It was me and Melissa's five-year anniversary, so I'm giving myself a pass.
As far as the album, and as I have said before, on my MySpace page you would read "Anything but county," under my music interests. And I think RC is changing my view on things. And this isn't even a recent country album where it's a bit more current with the trends. This is good old '90s country rock.
And that's where things get trifficult (a Bluey reference in case no one understood). I Feel Alright made me want to listen to all these songs from the '90s that I missed and didn't even realize it. When is the last time you heard a harmonica in a song? '90s.
Maybe that was just me though. But literally every song made me want to listen to a completely different song that at this given moment I couldn't tell you for the life of me what that was.
I remember reading Joe say to go into an album with the perspective that even if you don't like a certain album or genre, to give it its due. And that's what happened with this week.
But here is the problem I had. Did I want to listen to other songs, because I actually didn't like the album? Or did I enjoy it, as it made me reminisce about other '90s gems that I loved as a kid?
Overall, a generally good album. And I need to thank Pat and RC for keeping my ears open to different things.
7 harmonica slaps out of 10
