This Is My Blood: Devil's Reach

I thought beer was supposed to bring me peace? Isn't beer supposed to relax you? Especially a strong ale like Devil's Reach? Is it that the kids are so crazy that beer doesn't even put a dent in the frustrations bubbling over in this household? Have my kids ruined beer for me? Or has this project? Does the fact that I'm drinking a beer every day make the act of drinking beer less special? Does chugging a beer to wash down crockpot roast beef sandwiches do the art of "tasting" beer a disservice? But what could I have possibly done otherwise? Drink a beer while driving to Wernersville, PA for work? Drink a beer before work? Drink a beer when I'm so tired at the end of the night and all I want to do is watch the rest of Apocalypse Now but Martha won't be quiet and is quite frankly acting like the characters in Apocalypse Now? When else could I have drank Devil's Reach in order to appreciate it more? Will every day be like this? Is beer just a blip on my radar now? Is drinking a good beer just "normal"? How can I change? How can I get better? Will I be able to go to Cape May Brewery this year to drink Devil's Reach from the tap and maybe appreciate it better then? Or will COVID-19 ruin that too? Will I be able to drink any beers on the beach this year? Can I even go to the beach? Will I be drinking beers at home at the end of July instead of in Wildwood? Washing down more roast beef sandwiches instead of washing down a fifth slice of Sam's Pizza? Can we possibly imagine a city that hosted a trump convention will also be a city that enforces social distancing guidelines? Should I drink more if we can't go on vacation? Wouldn't that be weird? Hey, how was Devil's Reach? Are Belgian beers my favorite broad umbrella of beer styles now? Could I drink this forever? Will I ever find peace? Am I asking too many questions? Am I using the questions format as a way to distract from the fact that Devil's Reach is a "Belgian Strong Pale Ale," yet another beer style that I didn't list late last week? Am I ready to accept the fact that there are hundreds of styles and all I can do is concentrate on the ones that I listed, and then move on? Do I give a fuck about any of this? Am I just typing for no reason at this point? Will I ever stop drinking beer?

Sometimes it does; rarely; nah, it'll fuck you up more likely; yes; no; no; yes; yes; I don't know; certainly not; I could but I don't want to; hell no—drop the bomb, exterminate this idea!; N/A; probably not; probably not; more yes than no; I don't know; try?; no; yes; I don't know; hopefully; hopefully not; see previous; oh no; yes; yes; great; no—porters, but it feels like it changes every day; yes; no; yes; yes; no; yes; yes; NO.
