That! Was! Fun!
When Beyoncé said "disco is back," Ware heard the clarion call and said, "I dig it." And That! Feels Good! absolutely wants to make out with Janelle Monae's The Electric Lady. It's showing Dua Lipa how grown women get down. This album is all things horned-up and velvet-clad about the excess and exuberance of the '70s. It also has a few slow-groove moments made for your parents to dance in the kitchen to.
I also got a major kick out of the opening to "Shake the Bottle," where I'm sure the reference point is meant to be Donna Summer, but I couldn't get Countess Luann out of my head. I had a laugh. A nice laugh!
Don't overthink this album, just shake it till the pearls fall off.
