OK to Go, Sunny

Reader's Digest; retrospective snippet:

In 1977, USA-based NASA sends two robot probes, Voyager 1 (Sep 5) and Voyager 2 (Aug 20) into space. As of 2022, they are still flying at over 30,000 mph deep into space, sending back data about Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn, and Uranus (sic).

Virginia Coalition would, in 2004, release OK to Go, an album with a track featuring/inspired by Voyager 2. It would be produced by Matt Wallace known for O.A.R., Blues Traveler, Maroon 5, Train, etc., and while this album didn't necessarily sound like these artists, it didn't necessarily not either. Maybe mix in a little jam band or goofy folk indie (i.e. BNL, TMBG). It would probably appeal to those who lived or worked within the virginia-dc-maryland coalition in particular, having a bit of that jam band flavor, but be otherwise a competent mid-aughts rock album anyone could stumble into and enjoy. They would be a group forward enough to imply they like having fun, by doing things like ending the album in a "No Diggity" cover.

In 1995, Star Trek: Voyager would premiere on UPN. It would be the ~sixth overall best Star Trek series.
