Originally I thought about doing "Alice's Restaurant Massacre" for this prompt. Is that a '60s song? You could argue the "real" version is any of the number of updates and bolt-ons over the years. A living document if you will. Arlo, son of Woody, guy who had the fascist killing machine, is here with an 18+ minute talking blues shaggy dog story about dodging the Vietnam War. There's an odd fun in this bumbling ass anti-war song, rather than something a bit more to-the-point and/or raw.
It's the sort of thing I cannot imagine sitting down and listening to regularly, except outside of Thanksgiving, where Pierre Robert plays it on 93.3, and it's a nice thing to do while the turkey is undergoing some sort of prep stage. Which is exactly why I didn't add it to the February playlist. Instead, here's an uncontroversial classic.
