Look, this is a late review, but I must weigh in on this bonkers album. Let this measured tone not betray that I think this album is nonsense.
Though it is not the best album about Harry Potter (that would be Liars' They Were Wrong, So We Drowned), it's probably the one with the most pathos. Muggles, be advised: If you can ignore some of the goofier wizard stuff happening, there is real emotion to be wrung from these song. Pretty big fucking "if," though.
