A simple delight. Something about hearing this slice of Philly Drexel life from a decade and a half ago is all at once nostalgic and comforting. Lyrics are clever enough to be fun without being the point, and in general this hits a great emo/punk groove I've been enjoying all week.
Songs about crying, songs about wanting to try all over again, songs about forums and early social media? I love that there's many mentions of beers and hardly mention of sports in the lyrics, at least that I caught, and that feels very on point for what we have here. Guy certainly has emo voice without being over the top with it. Fun album.
