As a bit: immaculate for how stupid it is. As music: Could be a little more brutal, since we're trying to scare the norms and energize the base, but it works in a pinch. As a metatext: I would legitimately be interested in hearing pop star Taylor Swift return to a rock-inspired palate. I was listening to the Screaming Females' cover of "Shake it Off" the other day, and that song has phenomenal bones. In closing: the product is fine, but the impish spirit of childish goofing around is divine.
