Another NOFX entry here. This song is partially based on a true story. I read NOFX's autobiography last year, which is the raunchiest and funniest book I've ever read. One of the best parts about the book was the anecdotes about their songs. The story behind "Bob" is that they had a friend who was an alcoholic (not named Bob. I forget his real name). His liver was in such bad shape that it literally exploded one night after his girlfriend pushed him over a table during a fight. After his liver exploded, he was forced to become sober.

Eagerly awaiting Bob's response to this song (PoYB Bob, not NOFX Bob). There's gotta be plenty of songs called "Dave" out there, right?
