"Go Shawty, it's your birthday." I think that slogan when I was in sixth grade was probably used over 100 times a day. All of suburban kids at McKinley having absolutely no idea what the song is about lol. But 50 Cent came in with a bang. Everyone listened to him. Everyone had his album Get Rich or Die Tryin', and everyone knew he got shot nine times. The entire album is fire. Best two songs are him and Eminem on "Patiently Waiting" and "Don’t Push Me," but this song fit the bill of a birthday song. Crazy to think it's still played today and came out like 22 years ago or something like that.
